Was Bismarck wrong? This is a big question, and the answer rides on analysis of German territorial acquisitions in the process of unification. The answer also asks of us to look at Bismarck's long-term goals and to see how they unfolded. What I realized in the course of my own research and reasoning was that it is quite possible both Bismarck and von Moltke were wrong in the type of Germany that they wanted to build. Food for thought and I welcome the discussion.
