This map is not designed for early expansions or fast steamrolls, but nobody told that to AI's. Relief is too complicated for direct attacks, and without controlling the central island, any wars with civs from the other side of the map are more like a suicide mission. Surprisingly for other civs, the island is already taken by Korea. And despite Korea likes many things, especially science and weird moves, to share its island with the invaders never was one of them.
