Civilization VI Monthly Challenge: Ides of March Diplomatic Victory (Prince Difficulty) Part 14
Do check the video captions for my guide.
In this part, I will be aiming for a Cultural Victory.
I started the scenario again. The high carbon emissions penalty is eating away at my diplomatic favour.
The fifth Monthly Challenge over two difficulties (Prince and Emperor).
There is are 5 different types of victory one can aim for:
1. Religious
2. Cultural
3. Diplomatic
4. Domination
5. Science
This scenario is very much inline with March. And overall, I think this scenario is one par if not better than the Seven Seas challenge. Unlimited turns on epic game speed makes for a really long game, and with various victories to achieve, it is truly a challenge, given that Caesar's victory skew is very domination-oriented.
A few minor things that could be improved on:
1. Year and era scaling: You can be in 600 BCE but already in the atomic era or information era or even in the future era.
2. Starting City borders are very small including that of Rome, despite Rome's population
3. Epic game speed is fun for a long game, but I prefer standard speed for a slightly faster game. Construction times are really long.
4. Cities you have at the start are settled really far apart. And can lose loyalty fast. So you have to either concede these cities to the AI and settle new ones, or attack and conquer the AI.
