I decided to rip apart my Power Bank from our local Dollarama and see what made it work. Looks like there really isnt a lot to this. The circuit board seems to have two chips on them, and two LEDs. One chip for the LED ROM, and one chip to disconnect the circuit if it was shorted.

The wire going to the battery were copper, and the other seemed to be an aluminum/copper threaded mix. There is also lots of glue-gun glue keeping everything inside.
