[MISSION III: LEGACY OF THE XEL'NAGA]
- Destroy the Zerg Cerebrates
A very straightforward mission but this relies on dropping units across the channel or go for an all-out air attack with a Dark Templar squad to assassinate the Cerebrates.
You start off with a base that has the Templar Archives already built meaning Dark Templars are available from the get-go. Start building up your economy, a few minutes in - some reinforcements from the northeast will show up and drop off a few Dragoons on an expansion defended by Zerg structures. This also introduces you to the new Corsair unit which will then disable the defenses by using their Disruption Web ability. Destroy all Zerg units and buildings in this area so that you can immediately seize the second mineral field. Make sure to have photon cannons and troops around for defense on both your main and expansion bases as enemy attacks will come in the form of Overlord drops and Mutalisks (if taken too long, Guardians may start showing up).
For an attacking force - you would want to settle for an airforce consisting of upgraded Scouts with Corsairs as support. Make sure to have a shuttle containing Dark Templars ready once the coast is clear. Use the Corsairs to cast their Disruption Field to disable enemy attacks from ground units and defenses while allowing your Scouts to go ham on the enemy forces. Once you've chipped away a significant chunk of enemy defenses, send in the shuttles containing the Dark Templar to assassinate the Cerebrates one by one.
Once the Cerebrates are killed, a cutscene occurs and the mission ends in a victory.
