Guilty Gear Petit | 2001 | Bandai WonderSwan Color / SwanCrystal
Guilty Gear Petit (ギルティギア プチ Giruti Gia Puchi?) was the first game in the Guilty Gear series to be released for a portable platform. It is followed by Guilty Gear Petit 2. Much like Pocket Fighter (from Capcom), the characters come with a super deformed version of themselves, Chibi style. Also notable is the inclusion of the character Fanny, who only appears in the two Petit games in the series. The game was released only for Japan. The game is not very well known and has not been played much by fans of the series due to the fact that it was released only in Japan. With that, GameSpot users gave the game a 7.5/10.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the original screen of the hardware. I also created an image of the handheld to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
