HawkZombie Plays: Resonance of the Soul: Fragments of the Past
1There are a lot of good things in this game (great art and mix of both custom and RTP assets), interesting music, and a cool cast of characters. But there is a LONG list of things it doesn't really do well.
It feels more like a visual novel. I managed to fight off a boss of an area, but then died to a SINGLE level 4 (I was 1) enemy after, losing all my progress (you can only save at save points). The English translation isn't that great. XP gains feel far too small (I was still level 1 after fighting a 3 wave boss and a single enemy beforehand). It also does a sort of odd thing: you can't really explore the town. Just take on quests and move to the quest areas.
I dunno, after the first death I lost interest.
