B-movie budget & flair makes it way to PC MS-DOS in the guise of a first person shooter / adventure hybrid.
The graphics are nothing to brag about. Well as far as the textures go. The monsters are rather colorfully animated, and the death scenes are well done!
But the general look and feel is rather sluggish and a bit of a blurry mess. You have to hunt for a forest tile that is just slightly different then the others in order to switch between maps. And you seemingly cannot strafe so it makes it a huge chore to constantly turn to your side to check to see if you missed one.
A huge tip for those who would dare play this! You need to go around the island after acquiring the machete from the plane. Without the gun it's much harder, and the gun is actually located on the other side of the plane. (You can see this in the video)
Once you get the gun it's pretty easy to stay alive if you don't screw around. You seem to get a lot of coconuts and other items that give health. I only healed once in the video, should have done it some more! :)
Overall it's OK. With some interesting animations here and there. But the mix of dungeon crawler scenes and first person isn't well implemented and feels rather odd mix.
It's also extremely not clear where you are supposed to go when you start. Let alone the very long way you need to go before you get your first gun. Feels a little silly!
