We bring Legrand to the closest thing to a finish that is currently available, which is going to disappoint even more people. There is supposed to be a future update that will add more to the ending, but it's past my point of interest.

Regarding the final dungeon, it is a mess that I edit most of it away, only showing the dots you have to connect so you don't have to see me constantly retreading the same routes and fighting the same enemies. The devs opted to combine the puzzle rooms and an excess of random encounters, which just causes this to drag on way too long, already padding the game time. The only nice thing here is that the enemies drop all of the materials needed to craft stat potions, so you can get a little more of an edge before you face the final boss.

As for the final boss, you're allowed to use whoever you want for most of the of the fights here, but you lose your healer in the final battle. Beyond this, the enemy strategy is to merely status bomb you, so during the windows where you could get a lot of damage off, you won't. Luckily, there are no more of the tactical battles, which is the only silver lining to be had here.

So overall, I really can't find any saving grace for the final chapter. A lot of things here feel rushed to say the least. Game pacing goes to light speed relative to the rest of the game, and there just isn't anything good that stands out. Had Gorias been the final chapter of the game, I would have a much higher opinion of things, but when the game ends on a note this bad, it just leaves an awful aftertaste. The part that confuses me most is that if so much of the earlier game was re-written, why was this ignored?
