Light No Sky Cynical Got Defeated By Captain Steve - o7 Brew Crew - EP012 No Man's Sky Event
Calling This Event Light No Sky - The ide is we play No Man's Sky as if it's Light No Fire.
Leaders, My self @RiceysStarshipEmporium & @ProfessorCynical
How to Get Started:
Using Creative Mode: https://youtu.be/kH_mAIY1JzU
Also visit the Nexus and claim all your Quicksilver and Expedition Unlocks
Building Rules:
Only Wood and Stone Structures
No Glitching In Stuff For Free !!
Lighting should look in keeping to the medieval like style, avoid anything too modern
Your buildings should be close to your faction leader, try and surround them if possible. At some stage we may go into PVP bouts.
In your name of the base use:
• CK = For Crayola Kiingdom
• EMP = Empire
• o7 = o7 Brew Crew
If you are able try and appear in the colours of your faction, and use markers of that colour:.
• Cynical = Orange
• Ricey = Yellow
• Captain Steve = Red
Tech Rules:
Only able to install what you find on the planet, and from traders that land.
No Ships, No Exocrafts Mounts/Pets Only !!
Refiners can be used as storage, and to refine items, just disguise them, make them look in keeping with the theme.
Your Ship can be used as a portable camp site, and additional storage.
You need to keep it fuel to do this, you can shelter in it, transfer items to it, but that is it, no flying in it !!
Weapons:
If you purchase X Class modules from a trader, or find a module in damaged machinery, and it's say a pulse spitter... you can then install the tech to let you use it if you can find and craft the components or find them on the planet... If you find modules you don't want you can sell them for nanites in the station when you reach the Hub. You can use the nanites to buy maps I the station, but not other modules in the station... you have to find and buy tech on planets. Only the leaders use the Staffs from the Quicksilver store. Gives them a slight edge over players and helps spot them on the field.
Power Rules:
Light No Fire - May have magic, imagine there will be local teleporters at you base. You can have Bio Fuel reactors, and site to site teleporters locally.
You can also use Bio Fuel reactors on your Vaults to store items. (Disguise or hide the vaults and anything that looks technological).
Quests and Exploration:
Once you are on the planet and have placed down a base computer and claimed an area in your faction’s territory change your game mode from Creative to Normal mode, you can do all your building and local faction visits and base gathering in your region in Normal mode. When you want to leave your region/factions area you need to be in Survival Mode and have PVP turned on. This applies to quests and events.
If you come under attack, fight back, or try and get to a safe house (In game structure, anything undercover counts, here other players multitools normally disable any way, they shouldn’t be able to kill you in these buildings by game design). In these structures, make a save, or wait for an auto save... Once that is done you can quit out if you feel your outclassed to avoid death... NO QUITTING out while you’re out in the wild.
(Using your ship as a portable camp doesn’t count as a safe house).
The Hub:
(Location: -31.51 / -137.12)
This structure is just south from the planets portal. It's the only structure that has a teleporter terminus, you can use this to travel to the station to purchase Cartography Maps or change your appearance, and we may have new future missions you can do that may need this ability... If you do want to use the Hub, you need to place your game mode into Survival, use the Emote that your "low on resources" the (pocket one) just so it shows in the side chat for all to see, have your player marker on and swap into PVP mode... Any one that wants to hunt you from other factions also place them selves into PVP and have their player marker on, and swap into Survival.
If You Die:
We will be starting up another planet in time... but for now, please remain out of the event.
Choosing to use the Hub, or to hunt other players is risky !!!
If you're a leader and you die on your Hub journey, you can re-start, all over from scratch. Only time you can't restart is if it's the last man standing event at the end of the cycle for planet domination... You stay dead, until we move to the next planet.
Light No Sky - Death Pardon:
In times that the game glitches or a bug kills you. Let your faction leader know... we will see if it warrants a pass. (Getting stuck in terrain, falling through the planet, Sentinel Dogs Lasers through the ground etc).
Handing In Quest Items:
Place all Quest Items into the leaders refiners or hand directly to them.
Sadly we have to be online for handing in of items, even to the refiners.
(Check your leaders discord and community tabs for when they are free for hand in). End of each Quest we show case our bundles of loot.
