Ninja Gaiden II is one of my most favorite NES games of all time. I don't know if I beat this game or if this game beat me.

Here is a cold playthrough of Ninja Gaiden II for the NES, after many, many years of not playing it. So that means no warm ups for this playthrough though I am familiar with the game. All the game overs are in here, and re-learning what the strategies and enemy placements are. A second playthrough right now after beating it once would look much better, but a cold playthrough like this gets all the frustrating deaths in there for your viewing pleasure.

Kind of disappointed in my skillset actually, but very proud of my persistence and determination lol I did have to pause/save state the game twice to come back to the game later, and those were edited out.

This game and lots of games from this era are endurance tests basically. You make mistakes and die from the challenge, but also from getting exhausted/ tired and making mistakes from the lack of concentration, at least that's how it is for me.

This game however keeps you playing, gives you great cut scenes, and has engaging gameplay where you feel rewarded enough to continue. Continuing after deaths is quick too, so you can keep replaying over and over without long pauses.
