Story

Marooned on an uncharted planet with no memory of how you got there, you're driven by one pressing goal: to return to your home world. The only viable escape route is through a portal.

Your expertise? You're a level 6 engineer, well-versed in the basics of Exocraft and Multitool technologies. However, your education has a gap: the intricate mechanics of Exomech and Spaceships elude you.

Sure, you've had a taste of piloting a Spaceship, but legality stands in your way — you lack a pilot's license. So, the options of repairing or officially owning a spaceship are out of reach... Unless, of course, you choose an unorthodox solution: forging a license.

Setup of game

- Game Mode: Survival Extreme - All Sliders to the Maximum, except for following settings:
❮❯ Death Concequences: Items Destroyed
❮❯ Recipes and Blueprints: All Unlocked *
❮❯ Tutorial Missions: Disabled

- Avoid following Story Lines
- NO Cheating: No Duping, No glitching, No Save scumming
- Starter Ship is not Allowed
- Challenge is restricted to starter planet - can not leave

* To be able to build a Roamer, you need to unlock all blueprints in a custom game.
This blocks you from playing permadeath, So the maximum setting is Extreme Survival.

Start and Details

1) Build your Exocraft:

You can build an Exocraft to explore the planet.

2) Locate the Portal:

Your objective is to locate a portal on the planet.

3) Acquiring a Ship:

While owning a ship is not a condition to complete this challenge, The portal can be really far away... So, you might consider purchasing a spaceship.
Before you can purchase a ship, you need to forge a Pilot License.

This is done like this:

-- Find a crashed ship, use the dead pilot's license to forge your own. This determines the type of ship you can purchase.
-- You can try finding another ship if you are not happy with the type (Haulers can be pretty expensive).

4) Portal Travel:

After forging the License and acquiring the ship, you can fly to the portal.
Use the portal to travel to your home planet, completing the challenge.

Additional Rules

-You cannot expand your inventory slots. You must manage with the available space or purchase better equipment.
-You are allowed to build only one base computer on the planet. The base can be dismantled and rebuilt, but only one base at a time.
-You can not use the "Re-call" Exocraft option, except for when you are completely stuck or bugged out. (If you are stuck in a cave, you can dig yourself out).
-To obtain the "License" You have to claim the ship.
-The Minotaur is off limits for this challenge (simply because it defeats the purpose of the challenge).

FAQ

-Yes, you can build a trade rocket if you wish to.
-Yes you can use the claimed ship (license) to trade when purchasing your ship.
-The challenge was initially designed for the Roamer, but it is allowed to build other exocrafts (except the Minotaur).
-Rebuilding the exocraft pad is the same as re-calling in your exocraft, so not allowed to get your craft out of a cave.
-As you are not allowed to re-call in your Exocraft, this means that if you decide to build another Exocraft during your challenge, the previous Exocraft becomes lost and can not be recalled later.
