10Pikmin 1 was quite an interesting game to play back when it was originally released. Taking aspects from real-time strategy games and combining them with its own unique DNA there was nothing quite like it at the time, especially on consoles. Pikmin has also had impressive longevity having appeared in one form or another on every Nintendo system since its release with a recent re-release on Nintendo Switch.
