Stargunner (MS-DOS) - Full Playthrough | Gameplay and Talk Live Stream #149
On this stream archive I play through the 1996, Apogee-published, MS-DOS shoot 'em up, Stargunner. Much like Raptor: Call of the Shadows that I covered a few weeks back, this one is episodic in nature (four in total). I play on the medium difficulty and take you through all four episodes, talking about the strategies I generally use to survive on each episode, and some. Stargunner has a shop system, but it can be a very tough game--if you buy the wrong items and don't save your game in the right places, you might find yourself completely stuck and forced to restart. This stream is running the game from real hardware and captured by a DataPath E1S capture card. For those that don't have an old PC to play this on, you can get it for modern systems via GOG. As long as you have a GOG account, the game is 100% free. Just add it to cart, checkout, and it will add to your library immediately. See here: https://www.gog.com/game/stargunner. It's bundled with and pre-configured to use Dosbox and should run on any PC from the last 15 years (all the way back to Windows XP).
