The NUON "DVD Interactive" Exhibition | Gameplay and Talk Live Stream #167
On this stream archive I demonstrate the short-lived NUON platform originally released in 2000. NUON was a technology capable of running video games and was created by VM Labs. Partnering with companies like Samsung and Toshiba, the technology was embedded in various models of DVD players (I currently have the Toshiba SD2300). The game library is very small but features some familiar names like The Next Tetris, Tempest 3000 and Iron Soldier 3.
Thanks to Chris Bucci (aka spida1a) for letting me use one of his Turbo Views DVDs to show off some of the NUON's features! Check out his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcZq3_ZTPYB9ansiPiM7MiQ
