2It is 1934. Norah Everhart, cursed with a mysterious affliction, has crossed the ocean following in the footsteps of her missing husband Harry's expedition. Her only clue, a mysterious package containing: a photograph of Harry, with the caption "Find Him!", a brass key marked "C.W.", a strange sacrifical dagger that reflects an unnatural light, and an artistic representation of an island Seventy-four nautical miles east of Otaheite (the aincent name for Tahiti) which we have only seen in our dreams. What could it all mean? Why does Norah suddenly begin to feel better when she reaches this island that not even the locals will name, and claim is cursed? What happened to Harry and his expedition? Did Harry find the cure for Norah's illness? What is with the strange ruins dotting the island, and the strange dreams Norah has been having?
Join me as we answer, the Call of the Sea. Published in 2020 by Raw Fury and developed by Out of the Blue games. We will explore the beautifully rendered island and explore this story full of emotion, suspense, and surreal surprises. Perhaps we will even encounter the old gods as we complete our occult quest.
This is a first play, so please no spoilers in the comments. Allow me to make mistakes and get frustrated. I promise, I will get through it.
Note on the first episode: there is some graphical issues with one of the puzzles. I was caught unawares by the use of transparency layers. This has been corrected. Apologies.
