Some people find this game crap I found it be somewhat charming. Isle of the Dead is an early 90s fps game by Rainmaker Software that also has elements of adventure game puzzle solving. Yes the combat can be a little frustrating especially if you miss the machete or the shotgun but hey that is what saves are for in case you screw up. My only gripes about this game are one the automap is basically useless I had a hard time figuring out where my character was on the map. The second frustrating thing is that if you leave a level and have killed everything in that level if you come back the enemies all respawn like the game is constantly on Doom's Nightmare mode at least in this game it isn't triggered till you leave the level. Still I had a fun time and yes the game is cheesy but it is supposed to be cheesy I mean that is evident by your character's death animations. Next Friday I will be checking out another early 90s first person shooter not sure which one yet. This video was originally posted on my Twitch account my alias on there is angelus_05.
