So, this is not a Toy Story Signature Collection toy, per se, but thought I'd include a toy review on Slinky at the time, since he is part of the supporting cast of the Toy Story franchise, and personally my favorite character.
There wasn't much to say about Slinky aside from the fact that he is essentially the Slinky dog toy from James Industries that had been out on shelves since the 50's, but was redesigned to a more screen accurate representation to that of Pixar's Slinky - which it is!
The major con about this toy is that eyesore, so to speak, of a string that sits smack dab between his eyes. And it is nigh on to impossible to remove. Evidently this problem was resolved at some point before Toy Story 4's release, as the designers looped Slinky's string through the little hoop on his chest, rather than implant it literally between his eyes.
Kudos to the toy manufacturers for finally fixing this issue at long last!
The only thing missing to make this Slinky toy perfectly accurate, is to give him articulation in both his front and back legs, which flop to the side in the movies. Other than that he is a perfectly wonderful figure that generates hours of playtime, re-enacting your favorite scenes from the Toy Story movies!
Fortunately this isn't a Signature Collection toy, so you don't have to spend more than $20 for Slink. There is a talking version of him out there that might cost a bit more, but not a lot.
