What If The PSTV Was Released In 2022?
9What if Sony decided to revive the PSTV and release it today? What if they never gave up on that little box? It was well ahead of the time and I think it would excel today!
PS Now was the streaming app at the time with limited success. Sony was just beginning to experiment with game streaming and the potential future of it. It’s easy to see that this device would have greater support today. PS Plus hosts a ton of games that can be streamed for a monthly subscription fee.
You could hid this little box behind a tv, stream your games, and never see the console or cords running to the tv. I know it would require some upgrades such as 4K but seeing what an Apple TV can do with a similar size, Sony or Microsoft should be able to do the same. Eliminating the game card slot would free up some space and ditch the memory card slot. Just increase the onboard storage for some save files and a few games to buy.
