There's been a kidnapping in Roseborough. Zak, Karen's pedigree pooch has been kidnapped, and the evil dognappers are demanding a huge ransom. With time running out and her parents on vacation, the clever detectives of Cap & Co must find the crooks and rescue Zak before it's too late.

A Children's Software Revue 2000 All Star Award Winner, this interactive whodunit caper challenges players (ages eight-and-up) to ply their logic and observation skills. Each of Cap & Co's super sleuths have their own attributes. Set in England, game environments include Forest Lane, Villa Lucre (Karen's home), the shopping centre and Main Street. Each character uncovers clues and witness responses unique to them, so players learn deductive reasoning skills. Once the dognappers are discovered, an exciting hunt for Zak ensues. But, the mystery doesn't end there, because this game features multiple endings.

Cap & Co is a gang of three best friends (Cap, Karen, and Billy) with one cool tree house. Cap, an intrepid and dogged detective, always carries his "handbook for master detectives" with him--just in case the going gets rough. Karen is Zak's owner as well as the daughter of very rich parents. She brings brains and resources to the trio. Billy, nicknamed "the eye", is always on the lookout for clues and never without his binoculars. Together, these three young detectives must talk to witnesses and sort the hot leads from the red herrings.

A Case for Cap & Co offers 150 different screens featuring witty comic book-style animation designed to appeal to anyone with a love of fun, mystery and suspense. Isabel Kurtz's artwork is complemented by clever screenplay and a compelling soundtrack.

-- Video creator notes --
I wasn't able to get anywhere near solving the mystery. I have no clue what my next steps are and I wasn't able to find a manual or playthrough anywhere on the web. If you know how to proceed from where I am, please do let me know!

After uploading I've took the following steps:
Visiting Da Salvatore with Cap. After speaking to the owner, you can call a number. The number is that of the doctor who says that a dog was bitten at Forest Lane. Then I clicked at the billboard at Main Street which has a wanted poster for 3 men. Then at Forest Lane I went into the forest. There's nothing there though, apart from a door that has a closed sign on it. I then went into the Cool Bar with Karen, picked up a note on the floor and asked the people inside questions. They didn't give any information. The note was a shopping list that said: Batteries, Case of Beer, Bag of Dog Food, Newspaper. I then went to the Dog Food shop, the owner told Karen that a Big Fat Bald man had bought a bag of dog food earlier. Until then Karen was the sole purchaser of that item. I then wen to V Lucre (The House) And fount a cigarette in the backyard. I then went to the gas station, and found it was suddenly opened up. Karen asked the owner about the dog, but he had no information. I then asked the guy hanging around the news stand/billboard at Main Street if he had seen the 3 men from the poster. He told Karen they always hang around the shopping centre. I then went to the shopping centre and found 3 men. They didn't give info. After that I went to the post office where the postman told that he saw a blue van at the V Lucre house.
I don't know how to proceed after that.
