“Bumblebee”, the 2018 Tranformers spin-off directed by Travis Knight, may have grossed less than 500 million worldwide, but it won over fans and critics, and left many looking forward to seeing the series continue in the direction Bumblebee set forth.

However, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has implied that a return to the general direction set forth by Michael Bay may be on the cards instead.

In this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin by briefly providing my thoughts on the first five Michael Bay movies, before giving my review on Bumblee, and where I think the franchise should go from here. Then I’ll go over Lorenzo di Bonaventura comments, and see what his statements implies for where the franchise might actually go.
