ALttP Quirks: Items don't care what you already have (except when they do)
0After mentioning in my last video that Link's Awakening uses progressive bracelets, unlike similar items in Link to the Past, I felt like I ought to demonstrate that ALttP swords and gloves (at the very least) are indeed non-progressive. Each item location gives you that exact item, regardless of what you already have.
Curiously, though, the Lamp and even the Boomerang work differently! Each can appear in multiple locations, and only the first one you get gives you that item.
