Crickdarn, a small village within Powys, Mid-Wales, the largest county in Wales was used as a location in the classic horror film An American Werewolf In London.
It was used in the very beginning of the film where the two American, back-packing explorers, David and Jack spot the Slaughtered Lamb pub, (the entrance).
It was later used again when Dr Hirsch investigates the village that David was attacked by the werewolf, but not overly convinced of his werewolf fantasies, he soon learns the truth. The church, and churchyard were used.
