An SMWC Production - Stage 7-C: "Water-Logged Woods"
0This is a demonstration video of a level I've created for the collab hack at SMWCentral. Since this stage appears on an optional path in the seventh world that leads to an important secret, it has been designed to be quite difficult, but I complete the level as small Mario to show that it can be conquered with proper skill and knowledge.
I'm going to make this look a lot easier than it actually is, I'm afraid. :b But you know me; I just cannot stand taking damage. Besides...after you've beta tested something 30-40 times in one day, it just comes naturally... xD
The stage is basically a forest that is dangerously close to being completely submerged in water. This isn't too apparent until you enter the second section, where the water has completely overtaken the forest floor. I don't think I've ever seen a flooded forest before...so I'm hoping I turn some heads with this idea. :D
As a special treat, I decided to substitute songs from Axem Jinx's hack "Rise to the Challenge." I love that hack and its music, and said music is part of my level design inspiration these days, so I got his permission and plastered the video with 'em. Unfortunately, the songs will not appear in the final version of the hack, but hey...it's the thought that counts, right?
