Greetings fellow test subjects,
Test Subject here for Aperture Gaming. They make it, we test it, you play it.

Today we talk about the newly redesigned classic, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

At it's core, it's the same game from the 90's, only with a major graphics overhaul and a few control changes, not to mention only a few small new features added.

The game looks and sounds great and plays very well. I never did play it on the game-boy originally, so this is a nice introduction with the flair of the modernization.

My only 3 issues are minor. 2 being from a player standpoint, and the last one I feel is a tech issue.

This game has Amiibo compatibility, with it being able to work with the one from this game and the ones from other games working for it. The Amiibo is more of a dungeon storage and transportation device.

It was asked if other game in the series should get get updated like this. With the Oracle of Season/Ages, and maybe some other titles, I feel that it could and should. Not to mention all the new Amiibo ideas... I also wonder how they do/would interact with Breath of the Wild and the upcoming BOTW2?

I give it a 9.75 out of 10.
