Hi guys, Today we are going to learn about what i believe is currently the fastest method to gather sand in Ark: Survival Evolved Scorched Earth which seems to be the bottleneck resource when building from the adobe build set.

I have a guide for a different method for fast sand gathering that I will link in the description and whilst this new method is much faster the other one is an option at a much lower level so check that out if you need it.

The first thing you will need to do is to tame a Doedicurus (dee-dih-CURE-us) and craft a saddle for it. The Doedicurus is a dinosaur that gathers sand at a very effective rate and its saddle can be unlocked at level 30. This of course means that you will need to reach level 30 to use this technique so if thats a problem check out the other guide. They cannot be knocked out with fists so require a wooden club or better. I recommend tranq arrows.

Once tamed name it something appropriate and throw on a saddle.

To harvest sand you will need to approach any rock and use the attack button. The Doedicurus will do a tail whip style attack and gather large amounts of sand and stone, It is possible to gather several stacks in under a minute. I would recommend increasing you dinos weight carrying ability so that he can carry more sand for you.
