As many as 97 people are feared dead and hundreds of thousands affected in the flood-hit states of Bihar and Assam. 26 teams of NDRF and SDRF are currently engaged in rescue operations in 12 districts of Bihar. About 1.15 lakh people are in relief camps. In Assam, more than 20 teams of NDRF and SDRF are currently in operation. Many celebs including Akshay Kumar & Priyanka Chopra have come forward to help the flood victims and urged their fans to contribute in whichever way possible.
