Assassins Creed (2007) Review Retrospective | Why It's Worth Revisiting The Crusades. This is where the whole Assassin's Creed franchise started but is it worth still checking out today? Replaying the game through backwards compatibility on the Xbox One X, it gets a resolution bump but most importantly, the first Assassin's Creed laid the foundations for future sequels. It is let down in several areas mainly around its game design, but it is still enjoyable and worthwhile for those who may have missed it all those years ago.
