I'm still figuring out OptiScaler myself
You will need to make sure the menu appears in games to be certain it's working

In Part 1 I enabled the mod but It wouldn't allow me to bring up the menu pressing "INSERT" on the keyboard

So on Assassins Creed Shadows install the OptiScaler and then restart the game after the introduction gameplay, then follow this video to fully activate FSR 4
