Join me as we play Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Set during the industrial revolution right in the city which turned the world at the time, London, twins Jacob and Evie Frye arrive to find the city utterly controlled by the Templars. With everyone losing against them and the Assassin Brotherhood all but a memory for a few.

Raised to be Assassin’s and to follow the Creed, Jacob and Evie infiltrate the sprawling underworld of the city unifying London’s criminal gangs.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a few changes from the previous iterations. Most notably that this game has two protagonists, which can be switched on the fly similarly to Grand Theft Auto V. Aside from the spin-off game Assassin’s creed III: Liberation, this will also be the first Main game in the series to have a female lead, something the fans have been asking for for a long time. And it isn’t just a cosmetic sprite change either. Playing as Jacob will lead to a slightly more combat orientated game as he specialises in close combat brawling. Whereas Evie is much more stealthy.

Weapons have obviously undergone a change too, a slightly quicker combat engine means the need for a tweak in the weaponry. Revolvers, Swords (yes they are still used here), short knives and brass knuckles are but a few of the weapons.

A few changes have been made to the navigation system. Zip-Line between buildings as they are so much taller and much more spread out than Assassin’s Creed Unity, carriages are around because the streets are so much wider. As this is also the middle of the Industrial Revolution, Trains are also in the game giving much more dynamic chases too. With London being 30% larger than paris there had to be some changes to the way you navigate and it seems this has happened.

However what really attracts me to this game are two small things.
1, No multiplayer. A true return to how Assassin’s Creed is, a single player game, no multiplayer bolted onto it. 2, No Companion App. This means that, hopefully, there will be next to no interference from, outside sources, that will impact the game.

So yea, I hope this game is an improvement on the last instalment of the the series, as that for me was by far the lowest point in any gaming franchise I’ve ever experienced. In a long time!
