There is no shortage of people who’d like to work in artist development. But how do you assemble a team that can work together to get things done for the artists who are depending on you? An artist development team is made up of a variety of specialists who work on every aspect of artist development, in a way that is specialized for each artist. You may need choreographers, producers, brand specialists, vocal coaches, stylists - it all depends on the artist. And finding the best team is important - you need to know that they can communicate and work with a variety of different artists. You need to know if they will be a good fit with the other team members you already have - do they have similar interests or common goals? In this video, a panel of audio industry professionals discusses the things to consider when you’re building an artist development team.

Speakers:
Chris Martignago – Atlantic Records, Director, A&R Research
