An awesome mechanic that allows you to create pathways as you walk.
This works in 1.8 snapshots and above as it uses the new /execute command.

This is a huge handful so I included a schematic to download, https://www.mediafire.com/?s4envilhs07tdhh
but please note that you must
do a little editing for it to work. In the schematic all the execute commands are labeled with
a number as well as the models. you must replace the words "COORDS HERE" with the coordinates
from the coresponding number both #a and #b. If there is any confusion please leave a
comment.
