BEAUTIFUL DOOM - The Eye [100% SECRETS]
644Beautiful Doom together with "The Eye" map made by mouldy, on Ultra-Violence difficulty level together with 100% Secrets achieved. Beautiful Doom for the first time, this is a "light" mod in terms of performance, very close to the vanilla with optional modern weapons, slightly changed. All of the weapons (except Plasma Rifle and BFG) have to be reloaded, for example Rocket Launcher holds 8 missiles in its drum, shotgun has 9 shells in tube etc. The mod is close to the vanilla but gives some good gore explosions and effects, there are no headshots or dismemberment, it stays as in vanilla just making it... beautiful. There are also some improvements, for example every weapon is reloaded automatically while in inventory, although it takes twice longer than manual reloading. Some of the weapons got an alternate function, Rocket Launcher can be used as a semi-automatic grenade launcher and BFG can be charged for even more powerful shot. The charged BFG is however tricky to use as releasing fire is not instant and you must wait a while for BFG ball to be released, this can be really dangerous. Plasma Rifle tends to overheat after 60 shots, however you can instantly cool it off with an alternate fire, way better than waiting to cool it after overheating. As for the map itself, it is quite a difficult map with a lot of monsters (almost 600) and various nasty ambushes where there is nothing else but hiding for a while. Some traps are really nasty, for example going back might spawn ARCHVILES that love to summon already dead DOZENS of monsters eliminated by you minutes ago. It is also nice for you to keep precious Cells for later part of the map, especially when climbing a tower, lots of demons are waiting for you.
