Bonita Falls- Waterfalls in San Bernadino National Forest // California Outdoor Adventures
104Kim, DJ, and I wanted to do a hike where we could enjoy a waterfall, so I looked up hiking trails in Southern California that led to one. Luckily, I found a trail that was open and still had water flowing! Bonita Falls in San Bernadino National Forest (close to Rancho Cucamonga) is only 50 miles away from my home, so why not go for it?! Online info stated that the trail may be pretty populated, but I also know that because CA is still practicing social distancing, the trail would probably not be overwhelmingly congested.
The three of us aimed to head out around 8am, but that didn't happen! I actually set that time on purpose, knowing that we would all lag. No biggy! We always make sure we have a good time together, and that's exactly how it went down! You'll see it in the video!
P.S. You may lose signal in some sections along the street, so make sure to screen grab the map off your GPS if you can, once you get into the forest. Parking along the street started to fill up around the time we got there (close to noon), so get there as early as you can. Some of the residents will offer their driveway to you for a cost... I don't suggest that you do this. There is also parking available at their campgrounds for a fee (I think it was $15...could've been $10).
