Advances in Quantum Coding Theory
I will discuss a very general framework to design bosonic codes with easily implementable logical gates. This approach recovers most well-known families of bosonic codes (GKP, cat codes), and also yields new constructions of multimode cat codes where passive Gaussian unitaries can implement all single-qubit Clifford gates. The same strategy is also applicable to multi-qubit codes with transversal gates. (Based on arXiv:2306.11621)
