Brogue Gameplay
12Brogue. So awesome. So endless. So free!
Brogue is an incredible story-generating game of a nameless adventurer exploring the depths of the under ground, fighting all manner of beasts and finding all types of arms and armor. And potions of telepathy, flasks of fire, and maybe occasionally falling into a random hole. Like Spelunky, Brogue dares you to get a little further each time, learning from every blunder but having a blast doing it. I expect I'll get many, many hours out of this. In fact, the more I play this damned thing, the more I may like it better than anything else I played in 2016.
I didn't really talk much about what Brogue is in the video, which honestly started off as an audio test (which is why I'm too quiet I think, in the video) but turned into such a great run I decided to upload it, so please enjoy!
