CAPCOM CANCELS MONSTER HUNTER WILDS EVENT DUE TO FEAR OF COMMUNITY ATTACKS
š® Capcom cancels Monster Hunter Wilds talk due to threats to its team ā ļø
Capcom has announced the cancellation of a talk titled "Making 'Monster Hunter Wilds' run smoothly! Everything you need to know about optimization" at CEDEC 2025, its popular developer event in Japan. Although they didn't explicitly explain the reasons, everything suggests that this decision was made after an increase in threats and harassment toward its employees, especially related to the game's performance issues on its PC version.
Despite released patches (such as Title Update 2), the developers face continued complaintsāand in some cases, outright harassmentāfrom dissatisfied players.
In response, Capcom issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to quality, but warning that any acts of intimidation or threats will be addressed legally, including criminal prosecution in serious cases.
