Caretaker's Rust Survival Guide Ep. 2: Your First Day/Night
Your first night is of course very important as you're equipped with nothing but the bare bone essentials to get started. If a server has Rust++ you can type /starter in chat and get a starter kit to help out. I have one on my server. If not you're gonna need to use your trusty rock.
Starting off you wanna get a few things made. A camp fire, stone hatchet, wood shelter, door, hunting bow, and sleeping bag. While you gather material for these you also want to make sure to hunt animals for a few resources need to make these, and food to avoid starving to death. I also teach you a neat little trick/glitch to help hunting hostile animals and not dying a painful death.
Day 1 Checklist:
-Campfire
-Food
-Sleeping Bag(Spawn Point)
-Wood
-Stones
-Wood Shelter
-Wooden Door
-Hunting Bow w/Arrows
-Stone Hatchet
-Cloth Armor Set
Next episode will be about hunting, smelting ores, upgrading your weapons/gathering tools, how they affect the yield of items when gathering, and which to use when gathering different items. I also cover Research Kits, and talk to a fellow player.
