If we are going to talk about the retrogaming franchise that is Castlevania...we need to start off where it all began...on the Nintendo Entertainment System! (or the Famicom in Japan as Castlevania was released in Japan first as Akumajō Dracula)
This 8-Bit Action platformer was the genesis of the entire Castlevania franchise whether it be a Metroidvania style game or a full 3D Castlevania...the lore started here! Based in part on classic monster movie characters and in part from the imaginations of the developers from Konami...this is one hell of a way to kick off a franchise! It's a must for every retro gamer!
