When Kain was first released with the Final Fantasy IV banner in November of 2020, he instantly became one of the all-around best Attacker-type units in the game. If you are able to pair him with a max Demon Wall vision card as well as a max +5 Wind Spear, he can wreak havoc on opponents in all modes of the game. This video details what type of Wind Spear you will want to craft (Assault or Critical), what subclass you want to put on Kain, what abilities to equip and level up first, and what esper is ideal for his kit.
