Citra Emulator - OBS Studio Overlay Experiment (Fire Emblem Fates)
I came up with this method of being able to set custom screen sizes for the 3DS screens from Citra using OBS Studio. The gist of it is that I use two Window Capture sources pointed towards Citra. Citra is set to the "Large Screen" screen layout. I then crop and resize the two Window Sources, one to make the top screen a bit smaller, and another to make the bottom screen a bit larger. This is also done without affecting the aspect ratio of the two screens.
This is most useful for people like myself who make videos and want to make the touch screen easier to read for videos, but also want to fill out all of the black space with cool art or extra information.
However, even if you don't make videos, you can still use this to simply adjust your screen sizes and play through the preview window. You could, for example, make the top screen cover the whole screen (slightly adjusting the aspect ratio too), and make the touch screen small and sit off to the corner. People with multiple monitors could also very likely use this to display both screens on separate monitors, though I unfortunately cannot test that myself. I see no reason why it shouldn't work though.
