CLIMATE CHANGE: From Global to Local | Côme Girschig | Talks at Google
Côme Girschig, a French Young Delegate for climate, will talk about Climate Change and what we do (and should do) about it, at the international, local and personal level.
Since early 2018, Côme has been French Youth Delegate for Climate, representing youth within the French Delegation to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change. He co founded JAC, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading information about climate change, climate negotiations, and the ecological transition in schools, universities and companies.
He recently debated (among other youths) with French Minister of Ecology François de Rugy, and created a Youtube channel, using the platform for addressing climate change issues, like responding to French climate-skeptic François Gervais.
Côme covers the following topics:
- The diagnosis of the current situation, as described by the IPCC reports.
- How international and local legislations try to address the problem
- What companies like Google and we as individuals can do to be a part of the transition. (Due to a technical problem, this part of the conference is unfortunately not available)
