► About the Game:
ROV is a short game inspired by deep-sea ROV footage, especially the grainy low-quality footage from the 1990's.
Control an overcomplicated ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) and multi-jointed arm as you collect some samples of organic material that have begun to form on the side of an oil-rig riser.
NOTES:
The game uses the Unity HD render pipeline and large texture sizes so it will likely not run well on lower-end hardware.
It was my first time working with these types of physics systems so apologies if it's occasionally wonky.
TIPS:
- You can refer to the controls by pressing the Esc key
- Switching between cameras (1 and 2) can help you with the manipulator (arm)
- Zooming in and out (Q and E) can help, plus it looks more like the source inspiration!
- If you're stuck check your depth gauge (DPT) and compare it to the samples' location
- Content Warnings: Thalassophobia, Submechanophobia
