Mission Briefing;
It's the end of May, 1944. Everything is ready for Operation Overlord. General Eisenhower is only waiting for the weather conditions to be favorable. At both sides of the English Channel, tension mounts.
The last air photographs show four powerful cannons placed near La Rivière, in the area code named Juno. These could be a serious threat to the landings. Your mission: to take them out. This is the way you will write the opening page of the greatest landing of History.

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a real-time tactics game developed by Pyro Studios set in wartime Europe and North Africa. Released in 1998, the game consists of 20 levels of increasing difficulty in which the player must control a number of individual commandos to complete various objectives. Additionally each level has a unique password so that the player can return and replay any completed level later. There are a whole host of Commandos to play as, all with different skills and abilities, and each level will give you a preset line up of them to use for the mission. This selection is largely down to what the mission requires, as well as how hard the game want to make the mission. When the various objectives are complete, the level ends and the player is given a rank based on their performance and then sent to play the next mission. The game received favourable reviews on release. It was Pyro Studios first major game release. The success of Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines led to the later release of several sequels.
