Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time: Part 99: Toxic Tunnels (Perfect Gem Run)
I've already muscled through some of the hardest levels to perfect, such as Bears Repeating, and Crash Landed. This level is also among the hardest to beat without dying even once.
The biggest reason why this level can be so hard is because of how you reach its Hidden Gem. You must get to the end of a Multicolored Gem Path to reach it, AND this path can't even be avoided if you're trying to get all of the Crates!
Remember:
- The Red Gem is in N. Sanity Peak.
- The Green Gem is in Hit The Road.
- The Blue Gem is in Draggin' On.
- The Yellow Gem is in Run It Bayou.
Once you've gotten all 4 of these Colored Gems, you will unlock this path, and it is divided into 5 sections, with each of them being completed with a different Colored Gem platform, up until you finally reach the Hidden Clear Gem. You can not die at any point of this death course, or you'll have to start it all over again, and it'll be REALLY bad if you die before your next Checkpoint Crate during the main route afterwards! Remember about those crates!
----------
Back on the main route, you will slowly travel from avoiding falling into toxic waste, to avoiding falling into molten lava. You'll even see this in the Bonus Round.
You put Crash and Coco on a continued quest to escape from Cortex's underground facilities and make a climb towards his lovely evil castle. During this time, the present Cortex continues to try and fail at convincing his past self not to make the biggest mistake of his entire life.
