Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time REVIEW Spoiler Free
*SPOILER FREE* I had the chance to play Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time this week and I have to say, the game is a blast! Toys For Bob brings us a brand new direct sequel to Crash Warped. The Crash Bandicoot series hasn't seen a new adventure in over a decade and this new 4th instalment is something the series needed.
This 4th new canon to the Crash series takes us on a complete journey through space and time, where Crash and Coco team up to stop the evil Dr. Neo Cortex and N. Tropy from taking over the dimensions. Crash 4 introduces us to new quantum masks, the protectors of space and time: Akano the dark matter mask, Kupuna-wa the time mask, Lani-Loli the phase shifter mask and finally, Ika-Ika the gravity mask. All 4 quantum masks have their own unique play styles which bring a brand new layer of challenge to the game.
Speaking of challenges, players can collect gems and unlock a bunch of skins for Crash and Coco. The player can switch between these two characters at any point in time, the same applies for Modern and Retro mode. Time trials make a return as well as the addition of flashback tapes: challenging levels that take our duo back in time.
This new Crash sequel also gives us local multiplayer and co-op. Up to 4 players can ''Pass N. Play'' the controller as well challenge themselves to see who can score the highest points (Crate Combo) and fastest times (Checkpoint Race).
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is set to launch on October 2nd 2020 on PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-order the game digitally on PS4 and get access to the Totally Turbular Skins as well as Marsuspus Erectus and Serious Upgrade.
