Critical Hits in Castlevania - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,298In Castlevania for the Nintendo Entertainment System, it's possible to deal additional damage with your whip attacks using what is known as the Critical Hit Glitch.
All you have to do is land a whip strike on your target at the very same frame Simon takes damage. It's simple in theory, but the timing can be very difficult.
This is a frame perfect trick, so you have a window of one-sixtieth of a second (1/60) to input the B button in order to achieve the right timing. But this glitch can be used to instantly kill the bat boss in level one, as well as deal massive damage to other bosses and enemies.
It's pretty darn hard to pull off without lots of practice, though. In my opinion. Thanks, Konami.
