Cuphead - Grim Matchstick, Perilous Piers, Mausoleum III (PS4)
5Well, I said in my last Cuphead upload I was going to come back and do Grim Matchstick properly once I'd got some more coins and I could get the Lobber weapon. It was still a really hard boss battle, but I actually really enjoyed this one. Anytime I died, it generally felt like it was my mistake, rather than some of the deaths on the bastarding Clown and the Pirate wanker, that felt sometimes like I was in situations where a cheap death was unavoidable. Oh, and I really dug the music on his level too.
After Grim Matchstick, I also chuck in another Run and Gun level, Perilous Piers, and the third and final Masoleum. Perilous Piers initially seemed pretty tough to get through, but it wasn't TOO hard once I had the enemy attack patterns figured out and I understood what you needed to do with the octopus. Chaser and Charge Shot were the two weapon combos here that I found best and I managed to get through it in just under an hour. I managed to do Masoleum III on about my 3rd try.
