I did this ending the first time I played (with different choices after reaching Mikoshi.) That was on normal. It wasn't actually too difficult, but I was level 50 and had done all the gigs and side missions.

This time on the "hard" difficulty was... well, hard. :p

There were five or six attempts before this recording where I had to start back before the choice, because I didn't make it to the checkpoint. This was the first run where I did make the checkpoint, but things only get harder from there. I probably should have left it for last.
