Picked up Dark Souls 2 on the PC today and I am loving it so far!
A huge improvement over the first Dark Souls in terms of a port improvement. From Software did a much better job on it this time around.
This is a simple comaprison comparing the Xbox 360 version of Dark Souls 2 to the PC version. The PC version is "right out of the box" which means there was no mods or special graphics card settings applied (such as AMD/Nvidia control panel settings).
The Xbox 360 version was captrured through Elgao Game Capture HD with the 1080p profile and the PC version was captured through MSI Afterburner with a uncompressed + full frames profile.
Elgato may have applied some compression to the capture so you can expect a drop in quality on the Xbox 360 side purely from that alone. Youtube will also add further compression to the whole video in general.
I will upload another video shortly demonstrating Dark Souls 2 PC with some nice graphical enhancements such as downsampling, all thanks to Durantes mod!
